The 3 Things That Changed Everything (And Will Transform Your 2026)

“I can’t keep doing this.”

For years, I lived in the same cycle. Frustrated. Stuck. Spiraling. I kept trying to fix it myself and only fell deeper into confusion and guilt. I knew something needed to change but had no idea where to start.

Then one day a friend looked me in the eyes and said, “Dude, go get some help.”

That moment was a fork in the road. If I did not change, the next few years of my life were going to look exactly like the last: more drifting, more disappointment, and more distance between who I was and who God was calling me to be.

The Season Everything Shook Loose

COVID was chaos.

My second daughter was on the way. One of the sweetest gifts of my life.
At the same time, my job disappeared when everything shut down.

If I am honest, that job had not been satisfying for a long time. In fact, none of my work had been. I was in the same unending loop: directionless, overwhelmed, and constantly questioning myself.

Out of pure desperation, I called my friend again. He listened patiently and graciously to my lack of direction and gave me a suggestion:

“Get help. Get a coach.”

So I did.

And that decision changed the entire trajectory of my life.

The coaching I received laid the foundation I still use today to grow my and my clients businesses.

What surprised me most was how simple the 3 core elements were.

The 3 Things That Broke the Cycle

Very simply, if you:

  1. Know where you are going

  2. Know what needs to be true to get there

  3. Have something or someone that ensures you do that work

You become very hard to stop.

For me, that came down to:

  • Having a Clear Vision

  • Prioritization

  • Accountability to Execute

Before coaching, I did not have the skills to set a clear vision. It felt like being in a small boat tossed around in a storm.

As I shaped my vision, the waters became more calm. I could actually see where I needed to go. That clarity allowed me to stop working on things that did not align and to start working on the things that did.

The final piece was my tendency to get distracted. Without consistent check ins, I would have steered my boat right back out to sea.

How I Use These 3 Today

My vision now is clear:

To see an increase in business ministries across the globe.

Right now, the best path I see to make that vision a reality is to coach and equip Christian entrepreneurs to do that work.

So I prioritize:

  • Reaching more Christian entrepreneurs

  • Better understanding the challenges you face

  • Creating resources and designing programs to help you tackle those challenges

Challenges like:

  • Isolation as a leader

  • Overwhelming workloads

  • Integrating faith into daily life and business

The last piece is making sure I have the right accountability and systems in place so I actually execute on my highest priorities. Accountability partners, simple automations, and healthy rhythms of rest all play a role in helping me do this work as well as I can.

Where Do You Stand?

As we head into 2026, I want to help you see clearly where you stand.

I created a short worksheet that helps you:

  • State your vision

  • List your highest priorities

  • Set who or what will hold you accountable to execute

My guess is that, like me, you will notice some gaps between these three areas. That is normal. The question is what you do next.

If you would like help evaluating your worksheet and turning it into a real plan for the year ahead, I would love to talk.
